HOT Trend Alert: Jumpsuits For Spring

March 1, 2018

JUMPSUIT: Target (Similar) | SHOES: See By Chloe | EARRINGS: Anthro (Similar)

Jumpsuits came in hot and heavy last summer, and thankfully they will be returning in this new crop length that’s all the rage! If you’re short like me, you know the struggle of finding a jumpsuit that fits in the torso and legs. It really turns into a dilemma if the 4-inch wedges won’t help. And I try to avoid having alterations done at all costs! (Too much extra work!) Which brings me to this perfect little jumpsuit that’s petite girl approved! And the funniest thing is that I found it in the girls’ department at Target. So I guess that means I am the same size as a 14 to 16-year-old girl? Oh well, I’ll take it! Lol. I just bought this Friday night, and OF COURSE I can’t find it anywhere on Target’s website. (I have been having pretty bad luck with that lately if you saw my Zara dress post) The brand is Art Class though, and I recommend checking for it at your local Target! BTW- This fabric is amazing, and it’s what sold me on this jumpsuit!

For the first time in forever, I’m actually doing something fun this weekend! My best friend’s birthday is Saturday, so we are going to New Orleans that morning and coming back Sunday. I’ll do a small recap on the blog next week about the hotel we stay at and the restaurants we visit!

Do yall have any weekend plans?! Let me know in the comments below 🙂

XOXO

Palm Print Dress + Celebrating 10k

February 26, 2018

DRESS: BuddyLove | SHOES: Marc Fisher | NECKLACE: Love Always | BAG: Red Dress Boutique | EARRINGS: Similar

Yall. It was SUCH a Monday today. I had bought huge gold 10k balloons to do a blog post celebrating 10k on Instagram. I was SO excited about them! They arrived later than expected, so I planned to shoot the post this morning to have it ready by tonight. Well, it’s been pretty windy here, and I knew it would make dealing with balloons that much more difficult. Sure enough, the wind won and I lost the number 1 balloon within five minutes of being outside… I was furious since I had already waited a week to do this post, and now it was ruined. I am honestly laughing as I type this because I totally overreacted about the situation. Shocker! I am such a perfectionist, which is a blessing and a curse. Sometimes I just get so upset over the little things and forget to remember the bigger picture! With all of that being said, I am trying to accept the situations I cannot change, SO here’s to 10k and maybe breaking out the balloons again on the next milestone! Hahaha.

To you guys- my readers, my followers, my friends. Thank you for sticking with me through this rollercoaster of a ride the past six months. Although I created my blog in July 2016, I didn’t start doing it consistently until August 2017. I noticed pretty quickly that the more time and effort I put into building my blog and my brand, the more benefits and opportunities arose. NONE of this would have been possible without people like you who constantly encourage me and support Sassy Southern Blonde. This blog has been the ultimate labor of love, and I couldn’t imagine my life without it now. I can’t wait to see how my blog continues to grow because of yall. So thank you from the bottom of my heart! Cheers to the next 10k!

PS: I am obsessed with palm print, and this Buddy Love dress is no exception. All my outfit details are linked! As always, comment with any questions 🙂 *I’m wearing the XS and it fits great!*

Lots of love,

Kels

Favorite Quote + Free People Dress

February 22, 2018

DRESS: Free People | SHOES: Marc Fisher | EARRINGS: Marcia Moran | BAG: Louis Vuitton

I know many of you come here for style advice or fashion inspiration, but I wanted to talk about a quote that has been stuck with me lately! “Don’t let comparison steal your joy.” So my best friend used to have this quote in her bio on Instagram, and I fell in love with it. (This was long before I started my blog) It didn’t fully resonate with me until blogging became a huge part of my life, though. I really believe people, especially fashion bloggers, struggle with this more than anyone realizes. This quote (and lots of prayer) has really lead me to choose joy and not play the comparison game that so many others fall victim to. I’m not saying I haven’t wrestled with the feeling of inadequacy (or I wouldn’t be writing this), but I keep this quote close to my heart now. It has TRULY helped me appreciate what I have accomplished instead of basing my success on others’ achievements. If I know something is going to bring me down and make me feel bad, I ignore it. No person or thing is worth your happiness and the utmost joy you have when achieving your goals! So don’t let it control you and have authority over YOUR life anymore. Choose joy!

PS: I hope you enjoyed this slightly unconventional post! Sometimes I feel like my posts are very surface level, and I just wanted to spread some positive vibes today! BTW: This dress (Org. $148) is FULLY STOCKED and ON SALE FOR $52.99! Use code: BIG at checkout!

XOXO

Zara Floral Print Dress

February 20, 2018

DRESS: Zara (Similar) | SHOES: Marc Fisher | EARRINGS: Similar | PURSE: Louis Vuitton

How pretty is this Zara dress for Spring?! I love that the actual fabric is black, so it works for transitioning into the warmer temperatures. I think it will be great for next Fall too! But let us just focus on the season that’s coming up first! Lol. Given the obvious proof from my blog and social media platforms, I LOVE bright, vibrant colors! So naturally, Spring and Summer are my favorite seasons. While most people gravitate toward darker hues, my eyes are always drawn to the most colorful pieces in a store! Because of this, my closet looks like a freaking rainbow 24/7! Haha. With that being said, yall just get ready for the next few months because I’m best at styling and planning for this warmer weather! 🙂 BTW: I tried to link the exact Zara dress because I literally bought it last week, but it has totally disappeared from the website?! I didn’t notice until after I shot these photos… SO sorry. I could just be overlooking it though!

Oops, I forgot to mention my caaaute pink espadrilles! These were fully stocked on 10+ websites a month ago, and now I could only find them ONE place with all sizes. So if you have been eyeing them, you might want to swipe them up quickly! The online retailer I linked actually has a payment plan option too in case you didn’t want to drop that much money right now! (They clearly know that they’re doing lol)

ALSO: THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR HELPING ME REACH 10k FOLLOWERS ON INSTAGRAM! I don’t want to go into too many details because I have a fun appreciation post scheduled for next week (balloons are involved), so just know how ridiculously thankful I am. Like you people are helping my dreams come true a little more each day! LOVE YALL!!

XOXO

HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY :)

February 14, 2018

DRESS: Lulus (Similar) | HEELS: Vince Camuto (Similar) | EARRINGS: Marcia Moran

I hope all my sweet readers are having a fabulous Valentine’s Day! Although this holiday is all about sharing it with your significant other, I love it because my favorite things are involved: CHOCOLATE, flowers, and of course the color pink! I know yall are probably shocked I’m not wearing pink in today’s post, but I decided to switch it up a bit! Lol. I actually purchased this dress three years ago from Lulu’s, so it’s no longer in stock. I did link similar red dresses that I love just as much, though! This particular one has been worn to weddings, date parties, and formals. There aren’t many clothes I get my money’s worth from, but this little red dress has definitely been the exception! Having a LRD in your closet is a MUST if you don’t. I can promise I wear it more than a black option because this color just pops and looks good with or without a tan! (Very important factor! HA)

Does anyone have fun plans tonight? My bestie and I were going to eat and then to the movies, but she’s sick! So we are rescheduling for another night!

On another note, I was thinking about holidays and how it’s so sad when they’re over. Then I realized I almost enjoy the hype (or weeks/months before) leading up to the day more than the actual day itself! Does that even make sense?! Let me know if I’m not alone here! Haha.

XOXO
