Yall. I am living in maxi/midi dresses this summer! In case it wasn’t obvious enough considering the last 3 out of 4 posts have one. Lol! At $29 bucks, this particular dress beats the others, though! And don’t get me started on the fabric. SO soft! (It’s a t-shirt material) I swear you could sleep in this dress and wake up ready to go! Okay, maybe not that far, but there’s no denying how comfy it is! Haha. You can purchase this midi from Pink Possum Boutique! I am the first to admit I’m no beauty expert! But when I find a new product that I adore, I stick with it for a whileee! So, I am sharing my latest and greatest beauty finds that I know you’ll love too!

1: Living Proof Volume Spray

This is a MUST-HAVE if you want more voluminous hair! Since I just cut mine off, I was in serious need of volume at my roots to pull off the full hair I wanted. For me, it works like dry shampoo too, which is a major plus. I am all for a 2-in-1 product!! 10/10 recommend!!

2: Purple Shampoo and Conditioner

For my fellow blondes, this is for you! Purple Shampoo has worked MIRACLES in my hair. It keeps it looking super fresh between salon visits, and I usually don’t have to go as often either! It basically acts as a toner to rid your blonde locks of the brassy color that creeps up when you least expect it. Total game changer!!

3: Too Faced Hangover Replenishing Primer

I was using Becca Backlight Primer, but I didn’t always like the dewy look it gave my foundation! Plus, I have REALLY dry skin, and I read that this primer helps to moisturize your face before putting your makeup on. I absolutely love it!!

4: Benefit Hoola Matte Bronzer

During the summer months, I try to wear minimal makeup! This bronzer is SO good for dusting over your foundation, especially if you’re too lazy to get a darker color. (Haha ME) I have even been using it to contour!!

5: Urban Decay All Nighter Long-Lasting Setting Spray

I know I have talked about this setting spray before, but I didn’t realize just how much I loved it until I tried another brand. (I hated it because it felt sticky and had a weird texture) So basically, I will NEVER use another setting spray because this stuff is GOLD!!

Yall. I am OBSESSED with anything and everything rainbow! This is probably my favorite trend EVER. (And that’s saying a lot!) I’m already a huge fan of bright colors, so this just fuels the addiction! Lol. So excited because my maxi dress is available for pre-order through the link above! I’m wearing a small, and I do need it hemmed some. (The downfall of being 5’2!) I also love that it’s a halter style because I swear it slims your arms and looks fabulous on basically everyone! It makes me want to book a tropical vacay ASAP, so if you have one coming up, this baby is for you!!

Who doesn’t love cute activewear that’s super affordable?! Today I am sharing my favorite pieces under $40! If you’re like me, you might wear workout clothes, but never actually make it to the gym! Oops! That’s okay though, because running around town doing errands kind of counts. To each their own! Lol. My exact leggings are sold out, BUT I am linking an identical pair with a better price tag. $18 Bodysuit + My Favorite Denim Shorts

Yall. I have a serious new obsession with bodysuits! (Especially the ones that are kind of tight and suck you in.. a makeshift Spanx if you think about it! Lol) They go with everything AND don’t make you look frumpy, which is a huge plus. You never have to worry about keeping your shirt perfectly tucked in again! Lucky for all of us, my bodysuit is ON SALE for $18 and available in two other colors! I was surprised at the nice quality considering the low price tag. I did have to add my favorite turquoise earrings for a statement look! They’re $18 as well and the perfect dupe to a $100 designer pair!! (Hurry though, they are almost sold out again!!)

Although I try to keep my outfits super affordable, I LOVE to invest in pieces that are worth the $$$! And I SWEAR these shorts are! At $128, they fit perfectly and aren’t too short! (But not too long either) I even think they look like the Levi shorts everyone was/is obsessed with too! Not kidding- every time I am going somewhere, I immediately grab these shorts! They’re just THAT good. The only thing I noticed worth mentioning is that they do run big! I’m usually a 26, but ordered a 24 after reading the reviews, and the shorts fit great! Polka Dot Dress + 5 Things My Mom Taught Me

 I truly cannot put into words how much my mom means to me even though I struggle with showing it! She deserves the absolute best, so I am dedicating my post to her today to show a little appreciation. But seriously, I have never met someone so selfless! My mom still makes sacrifices for me on a daily basis, so I am able to pursue my dreams. THAT is a special person! I’m sharing my 5 favorite things my mom taught me in honor of Mother’s Day 🙂

Chase Your Dreams

When it comes to blogging, my mom has been my #1 supporter! Besides the constant encouragement, she takes all my photos. (It’s truly a miracle she hasn’t quit yet LOL) She has ALWAYS been there to encourage me to pursue my dreams even before I knew what my dreams were! Without that support in my life, I probably never would have started Sassy Southern Blonde!

Have Confidence in Yourself 

One thing I have never truly struggled with is confidence thanks to my mom! (Even when I had brown hair and braces in high school haha) I know being around her was the reason I always thought I was good enough, pretty enough, and smart enough! Sure, I had my moments like every girl does, but it was never because I didn’t believe in myself!

Never Rely on Someone Else

Any time I had boy problems, my mom reminded me that I didn’t need a guy to make me happy or support me! For that, I am forever grateful. It makes me sad to see how dependent women are on men, whether they admit it or not. At the end of the day, the ONLY person that can make you happy is YOU. Don’t get me wrong, guys are great! Especially the good ones. 🙂 But you have to love yourself before anyone else can!

Be Kind

The number of times my mom has told me to be kind or have some compassion is endless. She has always been so much better at this than me! I can be super impatient, which is such a bad quality! (Patience really is a virtue!) She’s also amazing at being the bigger person when someone has wronged her… Another thing I struggle with!

Choose Happiness

If you have ever met my mom, you know she’s just so happy and fun to be around! (And I hope people think that about me too!) Growing up, I never once wished I had a different mom because being around other kids’ mothers made me realize how lucky I was to have such a positive, encouraging one! Even though I don’t always act like it, I am SO blessed for my mom and I could not live without her!
