Happy Tuesday! I am rounding up my recent summer purchases here, so it’s easy to find everything in one spot. I’m trying to get better about sharing as much as possible on my blog! I always want Sassy Southern Blonde to be the center point between the social media platforms. And if there’s ever a link you need that you can’t find here, it’s 99% posted on my profile in the LTK app! There’s even a search bar now to make navigating my posts easier. I hope y’all had a wonderful Memorial Day weekend! 🙂
Even though our weekend getaway to Charleston started on the wrong foot, we ended up having a great time once we finally made it! Baker came home from school with the stomach virus the day before we were supposed to leave and the germs spread quick. I’ll spare the details, but it caused us to miss our flight Thursday morning! The lady at the ticket counter was kind enough to reschedule us for later that afternoon. We were not expecting any good luck after the night we had! Lol.
Once we arrived in Charleston at Midnight on Thursday, we headed straight to our hotel. We stayed at the Andrew Pinckney Inn in downtown! It’s a smaller boutique style hotel, but I was so impressed. Everything was updated, extremely clean and located near all the popular spots! They even offered breakfast and afternoon wine with cheese to all guests!
We hit the ground running on Friday with lunch at 82 Queen! They also have an amazing brunch, but it’s only offered on the weekends. Bo was in desperate need of new clothes, so we shopped along King Street afterwards! There are so many great men’s clothing stores. I had been wanting to visit Camellia’s inside Hotel Bennett, so we grabbed drinks before dinner! It is the most gorgeous bar with a dreamy pink aesthetic. We ended the night at The Darling Oyster Bar with delicious lobster rolls!
Saturday started with peach green teas at a local spot called The Rise Coffee Bar! We didn’t have it in us for coffee just yet. Haha! We ate brunch at Poogan’s Porch with the Fried Green Tomatoes and buttered biscuits! The appetizers were pretty filling, so Bo and I split the Diner Cheeseburger that was too good. We decided to take a Lyft to Folly Beach for the afternoon, and I just had to try dole whip at The Pineapple Hut!
Several recommended The Citrus Club for drinks, so we went to The Dewberry before dinner! There was an hour wait to get to the rooftop, but we decided to stick it out. They called our names right as we were leaving for our reservation, so we only stayed 10 minutes. I think it was a busy weekend but just a heads up if you’re wanting to visit! I personally think it was worth it!
Dinner was at Bourbon N’ Bubbles that Leva from Southern Charm owns. It was good, but I’m still SO sad we missed our Thursday reservation at Halls Chophouse! I wish I would have rescheduled for Saturday! It was my top recommendation from y’all. And being the Southern Charm fan that I am, I had to visit Sewing Down South! Unfortunately, I think I had just missed Craig and Paige. Lol! I’m leaving more recommendations for y’all to refer to below!

If you’re debating whether or not to snag this $55 pool for yourself or the kiddos, DO IT! We have already had so much fun in it, and I’m sure it will continue into the summer. I will say that I have figured out the best way to keep it clean is to drain the water after every use! If not, bugs and everything else gravitate towards the pool quick! This makes upkeep much easier in my opinion!
Easy Denim Dress (Size: 2)
If you don’t have a denim dress in your closet by now, you’re missing out! No surprise but I have a few; however, this one is my new favorite. I love that the fabric is more like a chambray material aka softer and actually lightweight! The length is perfect if you’re on the petite side like me. There are more colors available in a darker wash and white, but I like this classic look. You can use my code kelsiebynum for 20% off through the end of June!
Ruched Mini Dress (Size: SM)
I normally go for something colorful, but I decided to switch it up with this nude ruched mini dress, and I’m SO glad I did! Ruching is a girl’s best friend because it hides everything very well, even in a form fitting style. We also have to talk about the price! $24 bucks and it’s usually on sale for even less than that! I’m wearing the small because the XS was sold out, but I still think it fits great for reference!
Colorful Shirtdress (Size: XS, runs large)
Walmart has stepped their game up in a major way when it comes to their fashion department, and this brand has become my absolute favorite! The colors are just as gorgeous in person, and the quality is amazing for only $34. There are more prints available!
Active Mini Dress (SM petite) + Oversized Tunic (XS)
I originally planned to only mention this active dress, but I love the oversized button-down just as much! They pair well together or you can of course style them separately. The active mini dress has built in shorts underneath and comes in SO many colors! I personally love the tan as well, and I already have it in black too. Lol! I think it’s still 15% off!
Nike Pullover (XS) + Split Hem Flares (XS)
Another great two for one combo! 🙂 I could buy this pullover in every color because it’s the best one to grab when you’re in a rush and just want something comfy to wear! I currently own the hot pink and tan ones, but I’m waiting for the lavender and pastel pink to restock in my size! These split hem flares are also frequently worn. The open hem is a fun, flattering touch! They are a little pricey, but code ALOBFFS should get you 10% off!
Wide Leg Lounge Pants (Size: XS petite)
Y’all. I am OBSESSED with these wide leg lounge pants! Especially with the matching pullover but the only photo I had was pretty low quality! Lol. I promise they are both worth EVERY penny! I actually just ordered the navy version to have two sets. Probably excessive but I know I’ll wear them both! You can use code KELSIEXSPANX for 10% off!
Distressed Flare Jeans (Size: 24 short)
If you have been on the fence about trying a new style of jeans that aren’t skinny, I cannot recommend these enough! I was also skeptical because I felt like they only looked good on tall girls, but that is NOT the case. I love styling these relaxed flares with bodysuits, crop tops or even tucking in a pretty blouse! You will not regret this purchase I assure you! 🙂
Pastel Ruffle Sleeve Top (Size: XS)
When I saw the print of this top, I knew I had to have it! It looks like y’all felt the same way because it’s sold out unfortunately. There are new prints available, though, so that’s why I wanted to link it anyways! It’s such a cute top for summer with denim shorts. Get 15% off with my code kelsiebynum!
Since it’s my first Mother’s Day this year, I was extra excited to create a gift guide with my own input! I guess I thought becoming a mom would drastically change my taste, but obviously it did not. Lol! I always strive to recommend items I truly love, and I already own 6 out of the 10 above. And I wouldn’t mind snagging the other 4! *Hint hint Bo* 😉 I made sure to include items at all price points, so there’s something for everyone between the graphic and additional finds linked!
If I have a discount code for the product, I added it below! The sequin cooler bag isn’t included in the widget, but HERE is the link to shop! It’s 15% off with my code kelsiebynum along with the entire website. Thank you so much for shopping through my links! Y’all are THE best, and I hope everyone has an amazing Mother’s Day!
PS: Feel free to send this blog post to your husbands and boyfriends for gift inspo! 🙂
