Neutrogena Hydro Boost Products You Need for the Holidays

November 24, 2020

I have been using Neutrogena products for YEARS, so I’m thrilled to be partnering with Neutrogena in today’s blog post to share more about adding the Hydro Boost Hydrating Tint and the Hydro Boost Moisturizing Lip Gloss to my makeup routine! This line helps tremendously with dry skin, which is my usual problem area. Since the colder months are here, it’s super important to have products you can count on to keep your skin looking and feeling hydrated and refreshed!

The Neutrogena Hydro Boost Hydrating Tint is great for boosting skin hydration while you wear it! Made with hyaluronic acid, it refreshes dry, thirsty skin for 24 hours. I love that it’s a liquid foundation, and the hyaluronic acid is an ingredient known for its skin plumping and hydrating properties! This Hydro Boost Hydrating Tint won’t clog pores, and there are 10 blendable makeup shades that can easily be incorporated into any beauty routine!

I’m also such a fan of the Neutrogena Hydro Boost Moisturizing Lip Gloss because it leaves my lips feeling and looking super hydrated! Who likes lipstick that dries out your lips throughout the day? I know I don’t and this lip gloss does anything but! I ended up buying the vibrant raspberry color because I thought it was gorgeous for the Holidays. The neutral colors are pretty too, though! You can’t go wrong with any of the colors in my opinion! 🙂

Both of these Neutrogena Hydro Boost products are available for purchase at Walmart today! You can also add them to your online pickup or delivery order! They’re sure to be the perfect additions to your makeup routine this holiday season or for a stocking stuffer! Plus there is an awesome offer right now– >get a $10 Reward when you spend $25 on participating Neutrogena® Products between 11/01/20-12/05-20. Click here for details.

Botox + Lip Fillers with The Face & Body Center

December 5, 2018

Botox + Lip FillersBotox + Lip FillersBotox + Lip FillersI recently decided to take the plunge and get Botox and lip fillers at The Face & Body Center in Jackson, MS. I also did the Hydrafacial because my skin has already been struggling this winter! There’s a common misconception that Botox is only for when you’re older with serious wrinkles, but many don’t realize it’s a great preventative! If you receive Botox while your wrinkles are minor, you won’t need as much as you age because it prevents your wrinkles from getting deeper! I didn’t know any of this until I went to the consultation, and I think it’s so cool! I am going to cover each procedure I had done more in-depth below!

HYDRAFACIAL

Before the injectibles, I received a Hydrafacial that cleanses, extracts, and hydrates your skin! First, it gently exfoliates your skin of any excess makeup, dirt, etc. Then, the extraction process removes all the debris from your pores with a suction that’s absolutely painless. The final step infuses lots of nourishing ingredients back into your face to give you gorgeous, glowing skin! It’s a great refresher, but must be done before any injections!

BOTOX

The number #1 thing I was most excited to get was Botox because I wanted my makeup to appear smoother, specifically on my forehead. Plus, my foundation made the wrinkles protrude more! Lol. I got it in my forehead, but not between my eyebrows! (which I regret now and will do next time) In total, I received 15 units at $10 per unit. This is an amazing price for Botox if you are not familiar! 🙂 Most women require anywhere from 12 to 25 units. The common areas to get it are forehead, between eyebrows, and crows feet! As far as pain goes, it was nothing. I have the lowest of the low pain tolerance, and it felt like a pinch each time! (Lips, on the other hand, a little bit different story haha) Botox lasts about 4 months, maybe a little longer. I immediately saw results, but it takes a few days for it to completely set!

LIP INJECTIONS

I was not planning on receiving any lip fillers when I went to my appointment, because like I said, my pain tolerance is extremely low. Lol! But after discussing it, I knew I would regret it if I passed! Did it hurt? Um, YES. Was it worth it? 100% YES! Since this was my first time, I did the Juvederm, which lasts 9 months. There are others that last longer, but also hurt worse! I actually didn’t use any numbing cream, but I definitely will next time. The cost varies on the type of Juvederm you get, and it’s measured by syringe. ($550 per syringe at The Face & Body Center) After the appointment, my lips did swell a lot, but never to the point of looking too crazy. They were also pretty sore, which was to be expected! You have to take it easy the first 24 hours (no exercising), but there’s not any actual downtime. Probably avoid public appearances, though! 🙂

I hope this answers any questions you may have about Hydrafacials, Botox, and lip injections. The Face & Body Center is also offering some HUGE specials during their Holiday Open House! It will be ONLINE December 13th & 14th at www.faceandbodycenterspa.com. It’s 20% off injectables, skin care services, laser services, lash extensions, and MORE! For example, Juvederm Versa will be $360 during this time, which is unheard of for a full syringe. Botox will only be $8 a unit! Everyone who shops online will be entered to win $10,000 worth of giveaways. (Like free Botox for a year, 3 Vampire facials, etc) If you have ever considered getting anything done, I recommend scheduling then for these amazing discounts! Thanks for reading!

Current Beauty Product Must-Haves

September 14, 2018

ONE | TWO | THREE | FOUR | FIVE | SIX | SEVEN | EIGHT | NINE | TEN

I don’t buy a lot of beauty products unless I stop liking what I currently use, but I started incorporating some new items into my makeup routine that I love! I also haven’t shared a makeup update in months, so I thought it was the perfect time after I went a little crazy at Ulta last week. Would anyone be interested in a makeup tutorial? More people have been DMing about it, so I’m debating right now… We shall see! 🙂 Below, I am listing each product and how I use it! Everything is linked! 🙂

1: Morphe M321 Bullet Crease Brush

Let me just say, these Morphe brushes I listed are unbelievable for 2 reasons. One- THEY ARE CHEAP. I mean under $5 cheap. Two- THEY WORK. The best brushes I have ever purchased! I use this one to blend my crease out after applying with the M431.

2: Morphe M431 Precision Pencil Crease Brush

This is the first brush I use to apply my darkest shade in my crease, and then I blend it out with the M321. (So these two brushes basically go hand in hand!)

3: Morphe M310 Large Soft Fan Brush

If I’m being honest, I’m not sure the exact purpose of this brush. (I could Google it, but I have made up my own uses lol) After I apply concealer, I take my Laura Mercier setting powder and dab it under my eyes to set or “bake” it. Then I dust the excess powder off with my snazzy M310 fan brush!

4: Morphe Jaclyn Hill Eyeshadow Palette

Well, I have heard rave reviews about this palette for MONTHS, so I’m happy to report it has lived up to the hype! My only regret is not buying it sooner. It also blows my mind that it’s around $12 cheaper than a Naked palette, but has a lot more colors! *Currently wishing I had someplace to wear the blue colors, though* (I swatched them on my arm, SO pretty)

5: Smashbox Always On Matte Liquid Lipstick (Big Spender)

If I could sell this lipstick like people sell Lipsense, I WOULD. I normally hate matte kind because it dries my lips out, but this is the exception. I want them to make more colors!! (Maybe not because I would buy them all..) Big Spender is perfect for Fall though, it’s a rose-tone!

6: Urban Decay Subversion Lash Primer

I am ALL about something that makes my lashes look extra long, and this primer works! To me, it’s better than the drugstore version. I apply then let it sit for a few minutes, but I don’t like it to dry completely before applying mascara!

7: Smashbox Always On Matte Liquid Lipstick (Bawse)

Refer to #5 for the inside scoop! This color is a great red lipstick because it doesn’t fade or smear much. It’s hard to find a red lipstick that doesn’t wind up all over your face by the end of the day, but this one doesn’t! *Insert praise hands*

8: L’Oreal Voluminous Lash Paradise Mascara

HOLY GRAIL ALERT. This mascara is the best I have ever used, and it’s $10! It’s like Better Than Sex without clumping. I was truly blown away!

9: Neutrogena SkinClearing Oil-Free Liquid Foundation

I had never tried the Neutrogena foundation before doing a campaign with them last month, and yall, I’m SO impressed. I was using Estee Lauder Doublewear (which is great), but it’s pretty thick and expensive. The Neutrogena kind isn’t as much coverage, but I personally like that better since I apply concealer and contour over it! Plus, it helps reduce acne/blemishes, so I am all for that!

10: Too Faced Hangover Replenishing Face Primer

I loved using my Anastasia primer, but I needed something for dry skin because mine is the worst! It feels like a moisturizer too, and that was a huge selling point for me. It works really well with my Neutrogena foundation too!

Pink Romper With Southern Tease + Short Hair Review

June 4, 2018

ROMPER | WEDGES (Similar) | BAG | NECKLACE | EARRINGS

Lemon print has been all the rage this spring/summer, and now I know why! I mean look how precious this pink romper is from Southern Tease? I have been eyeing it for weeks because I never shy away from a bold print! Especially when the color combo is this cute. Plus, rompers are great when the weather is hot because you can make a minimal effort and STILL look amazing! I loved styling my lemon romper with neutral accessories, so I didn’t distract from the fun print! Southern Tease also has other fun pieces similar to this that you can shop HERE! I am wearing a medium and it’s big, so definitely order your normal size 🙂

Let me start by saying THANK YOU for all the kind comments and messages about my haircut! I was SO nervous to do it because I was afraid it wouldn’t look cute, but I actually love it. I have had long-ish hair for a while and I just wanted a change! I originally got extensions since everyone else had them, but they were a lot to deal with. (And I already take TOO LONG getting ready!) After some Pinterest inspo, I immediately texted my hairy godmother Marcus for his opinion because I knew he would tell me the truth 😉 I asked for a blunt cut to my collarbone and voila! I had short hair! I do wish I would have gotten it thinned out a little at the bottom because it’s SO hard to curl. I think it took me longer than when I had extensions… Lolz.

Okay, I’m starting to ramble! The verdict is that I LOVE my short hair, and I’m keeping it chopped for the foreseeable future! (I have already looked up short wedding hair on Pinterest even though that isn’t happening for YEARS. A girl can never be too sure! HA) I’ll do a full hair post and some updated hair tutorials soon, I promise!

XOXO
