BAKER’S FIRST BIRTHDAY

June 20, 2022

I have been planning Baker’s first birthday party for months now, so it was really cool to see my vision come to life! I knew pretty quickly that I wanted the theme to be Pete the Cat because Baker is obsessed with the show on Amazon Prime. Unfortunately, Pinterest didn’t have as many cute ideas as I hoped for, so I winged most of it! I’m still SO happy with how everything turned out. The vendors I used were amazing, and I cannot recommend them enough!

Summer’s Sweet Studio handled the invitations! I loved the very first one she sent me, and that’s what I went with! Magnolia Grace Cakes made the birthday cake, cookies, and smash cake. I chose red velvet for the top and normal white cake mix for the bottom! It was seriously some of the BEST cake I’ve ever had, and I like to think of myself as a bit of a cake expert! 🙂 Vine and Toast created the prettiest (and tastiest) charcuterie board! I’m so glad we had leftovers because I’ve been nibbling on it constantly! Haha. The white bounce was from Magnolia Luxe Rentals! It’s such an easy and fun party activity because they handle the set up and take down!

I think I covered everything, but please let me know if you have any other questions about Baker’s party! Thanks for reading y’all!

A Letter To My 23 Year Old Self..

May 3, 2019

A LETTER TO MY 23 YEAR OLD SELFA LETTER TO MY 23 YEAR OLD SELFA LETTER TO MY 23 YEAR OLD SELFA LETTER TO MY 23 YEAR OLD SELFA LETTER TO MY 23 YEAR OLD SELFA LETTER TO MY 23 YEAR OLD SELFA LETTER TO MY 23 YEAR OLD SELFDRESS | HEELS | HAIR CLIP | INITIAL NECKLACE | ROUND NECKLACE

Dear Kelsie,

Gosh. You’re 24 today! You swore you would stay 21 forever, but I guess you finally figured out that wasn’t possible! It’s okay though because the best years are yet to come, at least that’s what they tell you! 🙂 Although 23 is now behind you, you learned more about yourself this year than any of the others to date. You worked tirelessly to turn a fun hobby into a real job that you continue to pour your heart and soul into! You actually applied what you learned in those college business classes to YOUR business. Something you have built from the ground up, and now you’re so proud of this little space on the internet that you get to call yours! You also met some amazing new friends that you never would have known had it not been for blogging. These girls are the real deal, and their friendships couldn’t have come at a better time! They didn’t realize the impact they had on your life, but you did!

After letting go of things that were never yours in the first place, you made the decision to focus on yourself and stop trying to find a man to save you. This was such a defining moment for you in year 23! The make-believe and fairytales were nice for a while, but they weren’t real! You never needed a guy, but you had to figure that out on your own! You were capable of so much more than you ever realized. And maybe you wasted more time than you would have liked on boys who didn’t matter, but they were lessons learned. The tears and the heartbreaks made you stronger! Your heart may be guarded now, but you realized it’s better that way.

You learned that everything will ALWAYS fall into place regardless of the circumstances. God’s plan for your life will prevail, and you have found peace in that. You stopped worrying about the situations that were beyond your control, and you just embraced the cards you were handed. It didn’t always make sense, and it didn’t always seem fair, but life never is. You just had to close some chapters and move forward to the new ones! Looking back only hindered you from the wonderful things that were ahead. You learned to truly appreciate the good friends in your life because they are far and few between! It’s important to make time for the people who made time for you.

You fully understood what it meant to love yourself before anyone else could. You figured out how worthy you really were, and you embraced your confidence! You never gave up on your dreams, and they’re finally coming into fruition. You stopped letting others dull your sparkle, and you stopped settling for less than you deserve both professionally and personally! In fact, settling isn’t even in your vocabulary anymore. Because that’s something you’ll never do again! Year 23 might be behind you now, but it served a purpose greater than you realized. It was a year filled with life lessons both good and bad! But those moments have helped shape you into the person you are today! So cheers to 24! May it be the best year yet 🙂

BIRTHDAY + 23 FACTS ABOUT ME :)

May 3, 2018

TWO PIECE SET | WEDGES | EARRINGS

Since 23 isn’t a very fun age, I decided to make it as fun as I could! Lol. (But really, I’m still telling people I’m 21 for the third time) I’m sharing 23 facts about myself that you may not know! (Some you obviously do though lol)

1: I have a solid white cat, Blair *Most Important Duh*

2: She was named after Blair Waldorf from my favorite TV show, Gossip Girl

3: I am obsessed with cupcakes (preferably Georgetown), but really anything that has a ton of sugar in it! Lol (Cake, cookies, brownies, etc.)

4: My favorite color is pink. Huge shocker I know. I could blame this on being a Phi Mu in college, but I have really been this way since birth. Srat life just made it 100x worse!

5: I live off Chick-fil-A nuggets because they are THE BEST

6: My go-to drink at the bar is a Dirty Shirley (Vodka, Sprite, and Grenadine)

7: I truly wish Brunch was every day because it’s my favorite meal!!! (I like having the combo of breakfast AND lunch foods)

8: I have a tiny cross tattoo on the back of my neck… (People are usually shocked by this) Never wanted a tattoo and never want another one, but I don’t necessarily regret it!

9: I LOVE HISTORY! It’s SO interesting and that’s why I made my friend go with me for 3 hours to the history museum in D.C. hahaha (Sorry Karl)

10: I have an unhealthy addiction to reality tv… My fav shows are Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Siesta Key, and Southern Charm!

11: I am super unathletic… So many people think I was a cheerleader in high school, but far from it! In 7th grade, I got a headache from doing back handsprings at gymnastics and I never went back. Lol

12: I was on the tennis team for 2 years, but I quit after I got my required P.E. credit to graduate hahaha

13: I didn’t become a huge coffee drinker until after college because I no longer get afternoon naps ugh

14: I hate how much I have to be on my phone with my job! Don’t get me wrong, I’m beyond blessed BUT I love the moments I can actually put it down. (Which is rarely)

15: I love going to the movies and getting a kiddie popcorn with chewy Sprees and a Diet Coke. Truly my idea of a perfect Friday night!

16: Sweet Home Alabama will always be my favorite movie

17: I love the hype of holidays, but hate the actual day because that means the celebration is over 🙁

18: I think TOO much. I have turned into such a perfectionist and I hate myself for it because it just causes unnecessary stress lol

19: I wish I loved to workout, but 100% do not.

20: I am left-handed, but I do almost everything right-handed except writing! I think this is because my parents and brother are right-handed, so I grew up around them!

21: Oddly enough, I really enjoy airports! I like wondering where everyone is going, what they’re doing etc. (And if I’m at an airport, it means I’m doing something relatively cool because I love to travel!)

22: Major pet peeve: When people don’t know how to spell definitely WITH  SPELL CHECK! (Also, not using the correct form of your/you’re and their/there/they’re)

23: I love to laugh and be around people who make me smile! All about some positive vibes!! 🙂

PS: My outfit details are linked below. I actually got this set during the Lilly sale in January. Luckily, I found it online for a much better price! And I had the midi skirt hemmed into a mini skirt! Lol.

XOXO
