All White Outfit + My 10 Favorite Netflix Shows

April 5, 2018

TOP | JEANS | WEDGES | BELT | EARRINGS | SUNNIES (Similar) | BRACELETS

I know I’m not alone when I say I spend a crazy amount of time watching Netflix! I think it happens in waves, though. I start a series, and I binge watch it until the very last episode. Then, I go through the mourning period because of course I got extremely invested in fictional characters’ lives. (Oops!) It’s a vicious cycle that constantly repeats itself, but hey, I wouldn’t have it any other way! Lol. I thought it would be fun to do a post on my top 10 favorite Netflix shows that I’m slightly *majorly* obsessed with and definitely recommend if you haven’t seen them already!

1: GOSSIP GIRL

This takes the spot as my #1 favorite show. I’ve seen it at least 4 times through, and I rewatch the series finale probably once every few months. Also, my cat is named after Blair Waldorf… Case closed!

2: THE OFFICE

If you need a good laugh, watch The Office. Not to mention, it’s 2018 and you should have seen this by now?! (Not going to judge, though)

3: STRANGER THINGS

I bet you’re shocked this made the list! Oddly enough, Stranger Things has become an obsession. Especially Season 2! (I will say the first few episodes of Season 1 are hard to get into but keep watching!!) Between the cute kids and Dad Steve, I just can’t get enough. Oh, and Mike + Eleven = Forever 🙂

4: HART OF DIXIE

I don’t know what else to say other than I just love Dr. Zoe Hart. She’s from New York City and moves to a little town in Alabama to become a general doctor. It’s THE cutest show! Also, let me know if you are Team Wade or Team George!

5: THE MINDY PROJECT

Mindy Kaling left The Office to star in her own show and thank goodness she did! She will keep you laughing until the very end. I 100% believe Dr. Mindy Lahiri is my spirit animal!

6: THE CARRIE DIARIES

If you are a SATC fan, The Carrie Diaries is for you! It stars teenage Carrie Bradshaw in the 80s, and it’s sure to bring you all the feels. I love that it’s a prequel to SATC, but all the dialog is not entirely accurate. Just a warning!

7: NEW GIRL

The final season of New Girl is about to start, but I actually prefer binge-watching this on Netflix! Each episode is only 30 minutes, so I hate having to wait an entire week for the next one! The show itself is SO funny, though. A girl moves into an apartment with 3 guys, and I’m sure you can imagine how hilarious things go from there!

8: SCANDAL

Scandal is also in its final season, and my heart is absolutely breaking! There are SO many shows about fictional presidents, but I promise this one is THE best. The storylines were a little crazy in the last few seasons, but I think it will end exactly like it’s supposed to. (Aka I will be livid if Fitz and Olivia aren’t making jam in Vermont!)

9: RIVERDALE

I originally thought this was a Netflix show, but it’s actually on The CW! Lol. I like that Riverdale is such a mystery, yet it still has some love story factors! (Jughead&Betty > Archie&Veronica)

10: FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS (Even though it’s no longer on Netflix… Eyeroll.)

Where do I even start?! This show is everything! Tim Riggins has my heart. Lila Garrity is the cutest human. I wish Coach Taylor was my dad. The list goes on.. I seriously cannot believe Netflix removed FNL! BIG mistake. But even Netflix can’t put the Dillon Panthers down for long! Clear eyes, full heart, can’t lose!

XOXO

Favorite Quote + Free People Dress

February 22, 2018

DRESS: Free People | SHOES: Marc Fisher | EARRINGS: Marcia Moran | BAG: Louis Vuitton

I know many of you come here for style advice or fashion inspiration, but I wanted to talk about a quote that has been stuck with me lately! “Don’t let comparison steal your joy.” So my best friend used to have this quote in her bio on Instagram, and I fell in love with it. (This was long before I started my blog) It didn’t fully resonate with me until blogging became a huge part of my life, though. I really believe people, especially fashion bloggers, struggle with this more than anyone realizes. This quote (and lots of prayer) has really lead me to choose joy and not play the comparison game that so many others fall victim to. I’m not saying I haven’t wrestled with the feeling of inadequacy (or I wouldn’t be writing this), but I keep this quote close to my heart now. It has TRULY helped me appreciate what I have accomplished instead of basing my success on others’ achievements. If I know something is going to bring me down and make me feel bad, I ignore it. No person or thing is worth your happiness and the utmost joy you have when achieving your goals! So don’t let it control you and have authority over YOUR life anymore. Choose joy!

PS: I hope you enjoyed this slightly unconventional post! Sometimes I feel like my posts are very surface level, and I just wanted to spread some positive vibes today! BTW: This dress (Org. $148) is FULLY STOCKED and ON SALE FOR $52.99! Use code: BIG at checkout!

XOXO

Happy Hump Day!

Even though the Dawgs lost last weekend, we still had so much fun in Athens! We’re heading to Auburn on Friday for our next away game, and I’m hoping for a better outcome this time! *Fingers crossed* Once that’s over, I’ll be heading home to Laurel for Fall Break. I am more than ready to relax and catch up with my friends and work on some blogging opportunities coming up! 🙂

I feel SO bad posting this top since it’s no longer available, but I did find a similar one without the embroidery! I actually ordered it from eBay, and they still have some left. To me, this is the perfect transitional outfit for Fall! I love this pretty embroidered blouse paired with my favorite flare jeans, and I added my floppy red hat as a finishing touch. Flare jeans are so easy, and I highly recommend jumping on this trend train if you haven’t already!

Are Y’all excited for Fall?! I’m always looking for inspiration, so comment your favorite Fall trend below and I might choose it for my next blog post!

Zaful Review + Embroidered Skirt

January 18, 2017

Sweater: Zaful (Similar) | Skirt: Zaful | Shoes: Hinge | Hat: Libby Story (Similar) | Purse: Louis Vuitton | Earrings: Kendra Scott

Happy Friday!!

I am so so SO excited about this post today! I have collaborated with Zaful to highlight some of my favorite pieces from their website. (Visit their online shop HERE) Zaful has the cutest, on-trend merchandise at fabulous prices compared to other retailers. They also have quick shipping and great quality products, which are both huge selling points for me! With the bizarre Mississippi weather, I opted for a light sweater to pair with this amazing embroidered skirt. The skirt easily became my favorite piece from Zaful as soon as I opened my package! I LOVE IT. You can style it a million different ways, not to mention how well it will transition into Spring. (I’m thinking a white v-neck and cute sandals in warmer weather!) Embroidery is a trend that was hot and heavy this summer, so I definitely foresee a prominent return this year. My slightly cropped lace-up sweater is sold out, but I found an almost identical one I linked above. Lace-up sweaters are super easy to style and are pretty popular right now! (Ok, really popular!) I am also linking my other favorite Zaful picks in the carousel below because I’m kind of obsessed! Lol.

I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend! Thanks for visiting!

XOXO

Happy Saturday Ya’ll!

September is right around the corner, and stores are constantly releasing their beautiful fall merchandise daily. From grey skinny jeans to off-the-shoulder sweaters, limiting my online shopping to only the fall necessities lately has been ridiculously hard. (I cannot wait to show y’all the great fall pieces I have bought though!) The Mississippi heat is the main reason I have been restricting myself to buying only transitional pieces that can be worn now and layered later. Right now, my absolute favorite combination is long sleeve tops and cut off shorts! I love adding my chunky Marc Fisher wedges to dress the outfit up, or throwing on my Vince Camuto booties (one of my Nordstrom Anniversary Sale purchases) for a more casual look. I found this embroidery cold shoulder top at Revolve. (best online shopping no doubt) The top has such fun summer colors, but the sleeves make it a wonderful transition piece for the fall paired with dark denim later on! Don’t get me wrong, I love the rich autumn colors like burgundy and grey, but my obsession with bright colors only gets worse during the winter months, so I have to take advantage of them while I can! Everything is linked above, along with similar tops and shorts in the carousel below.

XOXO
