Stripe Crop Top + Last Minute Mother’s Day Gift Guide

May 7, 2018

TOP | JEANS (Similar) | WEDGES | EARRINGS

First things first, I absolutely LOVE crop tops and flare jeans regardless of the season! It’s such a fun outfit without showing too much skin. I purchased this top from a boutique in Mississippi, but they also ship! (I linked the top above) Although I adore Nordstrom and Target, my favorite shopping is always done at a cute boutique. The selection is a lot smaller, so you know everyone else won’t have it. That’s the main reason I enjoy partnering with boutiques! I feel like I’m showing yall pieces you might not have seen otherwise. Btw, this post isn’t sponsored! Just my honest opinion! 🙂

Between the chaos that is my life, I totally slipped up (per usual) and forgot to do a Mother’s Day gift guide! If you’re last minute like me, no worries!! I am linking items all UNDER $50 that would be perfect! *Also dividing them into categories depending on what your mom likes*

The Fitness Mom

The Homebody Mom

The Girly Mom

PS: The basket I linked is an actual picnic basket WITH plates & utensils. I thought this was adorable for a mom!

All White Outfit + My 10 Favorite Netflix Shows

April 5, 2018

TOP | JEANS | WEDGES | BELT | EARRINGS | SUNNIES (Similar) | BRACELETS

I know I’m not alone when I say I spend a crazy amount of time watching Netflix! I think it happens in waves, though. I start a series, and I binge watch it until the very last episode. Then, I go through the mourning period because of course I got extremely invested in fictional characters’ lives. (Oops!) It’s a vicious cycle that constantly repeats itself, but hey, I wouldn’t have it any other way! Lol. I thought it would be fun to do a post on my top 10 favorite Netflix shows that I’m slightly *majorly* obsessed with and definitely recommend if you haven’t seen them already!

1: GOSSIP GIRL

This takes the spot as my #1 favorite show. I’ve seen it at least 4 times through, and I rewatch the series finale probably once every few months. Also, my cat is named after Blair Waldorf… Case closed!

2: THE OFFICE

If you need a good laugh, watch The Office. Not to mention, it’s 2018 and you should have seen this by now?! (Not going to judge, though)

3: STRANGER THINGS

I bet you’re shocked this made the list! Oddly enough, Stranger Things has become an obsession. Especially Season 2! (I will say the first few episodes of Season 1 are hard to get into but keep watching!!) Between the cute kids and Dad Steve, I just can’t get enough. Oh, and Mike + Eleven = Forever 🙂

4: HART OF DIXIE

I don’t know what else to say other than I just love Dr. Zoe Hart. She’s from New York City and moves to a little town in Alabama to become a general doctor. It’s THE cutest show! Also, let me know if you are Team Wade or Team George!

5: THE MINDY PROJECT

Mindy Kaling left The Office to star in her own show and thank goodness she did! She will keep you laughing until the very end. I 100% believe Dr. Mindy Lahiri is my spirit animal!

6: THE CARRIE DIARIES

If you are a SATC fan, The Carrie Diaries is for you! It stars teenage Carrie Bradshaw in the 80s, and it’s sure to bring you all the feels. I love that it’s a prequel to SATC, but all the dialog is not entirely accurate. Just a warning!

7: NEW GIRL

The final season of New Girl is about to start, but I actually prefer binge-watching this on Netflix! Each episode is only 30 minutes, so I hate having to wait an entire week for the next one! The show itself is SO funny, though. A girl moves into an apartment with 3 guys, and I’m sure you can imagine how hilarious things go from there!

8: SCANDAL

Scandal is also in its final season, and my heart is absolutely breaking! There are SO many shows about fictional presidents, but I promise this one is THE best. The storylines were a little crazy in the last few seasons, but I think it will end exactly like it’s supposed to. (Aka I will be livid if Fitz and Olivia aren’t making jam in Vermont!)

9: RIVERDALE

I originally thought this was a Netflix show, but it’s actually on The CW! Lol. I like that Riverdale is such a mystery, yet it still has some love story factors! (Jughead&Betty > Archie&Veronica)

10: FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS (Even though it’s no longer on Netflix… Eyeroll.)

Where do I even start?! This show is everything! Tim Riggins has my heart. Lila Garrity is the cutest human. I wish Coach Taylor was my dad. The list goes on.. I seriously cannot believe Netflix removed FNL! BIG mistake. But even Netflix can’t put the Dillon Panthers down for long! Clear eyes, full heart, can’t lose!

XOXO

Palm Print Dress + Celebrating 10k

February 26, 2018

DRESS: BuddyLove | SHOES: Marc Fisher | NECKLACE: Love Always | BAG: Red Dress Boutique | EARRINGS: Similar

Yall. It was SUCH a Monday today. I had bought huge gold 10k balloons to do a blog post celebrating 10k on Instagram. I was SO excited about them! They arrived later than expected, so I planned to shoot the post this morning to have it ready by tonight. Well, it’s been pretty windy here, and I knew it would make dealing with balloons that much more difficult. Sure enough, the wind won and I lost the number 1 balloon within five minutes of being outside… I was furious since I had already waited a week to do this post, and now it was ruined. I am honestly laughing as I type this because I totally overreacted about the situation. Shocker! I am such a perfectionist, which is a blessing and a curse. Sometimes I just get so upset over the little things and forget to remember the bigger picture! With all of that being said, I am trying to accept the situations I cannot change, SO here’s to 10k and maybe breaking out the balloons again on the next milestone! Hahaha.

To you guys- my readers, my followers, my friends. Thank you for sticking with me through this rollercoaster of a ride the past six months. Although I created my blog in July 2016, I didn’t start doing it consistently until August 2017. I noticed pretty quickly that the more time and effort I put into building my blog and my brand, the more benefits and opportunities arose. NONE of this would have been possible without people like you who constantly encourage me and support Sassy Southern Blonde. This blog has been the ultimate labor of love, and I couldn’t imagine my life without it now. I can’t wait to see how my blog continues to grow because of yall. So thank you from the bottom of my heart! Cheers to the next 10k!

PS: I am obsessed with palm print, and this Buddy Love dress is no exception. All my outfit details are linked! As always, comment with any questions 🙂 *I’m wearing the XS and it fits great!*

Lots of love,

Kels

Zara Floral Print Dress

February 20, 2018

DRESS: Zara (Similar) | SHOES: Marc Fisher | EARRINGS: Similar | PURSE: Louis Vuitton

How pretty is this Zara dress for Spring?! I love that the actual fabric is black, so it works for transitioning into the warmer temperatures. I think it will be great for next Fall too! But let us just focus on the season that’s coming up first! Lol. Given the obvious proof from my blog and social media platforms, I LOVE bright, vibrant colors! So naturally, Spring and Summer are my favorite seasons. While most people gravitate toward darker hues, my eyes are always drawn to the most colorful pieces in a store! Because of this, my closet looks like a freaking rainbow 24/7! Haha. With that being said, yall just get ready for the next few months because I’m best at styling and planning for this warmer weather! 🙂 BTW: I tried to link the exact Zara dress because I literally bought it last week, but it has totally disappeared from the website?! I didn’t notice until after I shot these photos… SO sorry. I could just be overlooking it though!

Oops, I forgot to mention my caaaute pink espadrilles! These were fully stocked on 10+ websites a month ago, and now I could only find them ONE place with all sizes. So if you have been eyeing them, you might want to swipe them up quickly! The online retailer I linked actually has a payment plan option too in case you didn’t want to drop that much money right now! (They clearly know that they’re doing lol)

ALSO: THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR HELPING ME REACH 10k FOLLOWERS ON INSTAGRAM! I don’t want to go into too many details because I have a fun appreciation post scheduled for next week (balloons are involved), so just know how ridiculously thankful I am. Like you people are helping my dreams come true a little more each day! LOVE YALL!!

XOXO

Dreaming of Spring: White Eyelet Blouse

January 22, 2018

TOP: Nordstrom | DENIM: AG Jeans | SHOES: Marc Fisher | BELT: Gucci | EARRINGS: Marcia Moran | BRACELETS: BuDhaGirl

The weather was actually perfect this weekend! It went from snowing on Wednesday to 70 degrees on Sunday. Mississippi weather doesn’t even surprise me anymore! I feel like that kinda justifies my sleeveless top and espadrille wedges, though. lol! The main problem with buying spring pieces so early is having to save them for months. Luckily, the weather was on my side Saturday! There’s no way I could have saved this precious eyelet top for long! It’s SO pretty and looks super expensive, but only has a $59 dollar price tag. I swear I have seen others just like this for way more! (Like $100+) Not many tops can make a statement AND be a staple in your closet, but this eyelet blouse can really do both! It’s fully stocked, but won’t be for long!! 🙂

Like I mentioned in my previous blog, I am flying to Dallas today for market with Karlie Clothes! My blog posts will still go up today and Thursday, but I wanted yall to know there is a reason if I seem a little MIA! I promise I will catch up on everything next weekend though!!

XOXO
