Current Beauty Product Must-Haves

I don’t buy a lot of beauty products unless I stop liking what I currently use, but I started incorporating some new items into my makeup routine that I love! I also haven’t shared a makeup update in months, so I thought it was the perfect time after I went a little crazy at Ulta last week. Would anyone be interested in a makeup tutorial? More people have been DMing about it, so I’m debating right now… We shall see! 🙂 Below, I am listing each product and how I use it! Everything is linked! 🙂

1: Morphe M321 Bullet Crease Brush

Let me just say, these Morphe brushes I listed are unbelievable for 2 reasons. One- THEY ARE CHEAP. I mean under $5 cheap. Two- THEY WORK. The best brushes I have ever purchased! I use this one to blend my crease out after applying with the M431.

2: Morphe M431 Precision Pencil Crease Brush

This is the first brush I use to apply my darkest shade in my crease, and then I blend it out with the M321. (So these two brushes basically go hand in hand!)

3: Morphe M310 Large Soft Fan Brush

If I’m being honest, I’m not sure the exact purpose of this brush. (I could Google it, but I have made up my own uses lol) After I apply concealer, I take my Laura Mercier setting powder and dab it under my eyes to set or “bake” it. Then I dust the excess powder off with my snazzy M310 fan brush!

4: Morphe Jaclyn Hill Eyeshadow Palette

Well, I have heard rave reviews about this palette for MONTHS, so I’m happy to report it has lived up to the hype! My only regret is not buying it sooner. It also blows my mind that it’s around $12 cheaper than a Naked palette, but has a lot more colors! *Currently wishing I had someplace to wear the blue colors, though* (I swatched them on my arm, SO pretty)

5: Smashbox Always On Matte Liquid Lipstick (Big Spender)

If I could sell this lipstick like people sell Lipsense, I WOULD. I normally hate matte kind because it dries my lips out, but this is the exception. I want them to make more colors!! (Maybe not because I would buy them all..) Big Spender is perfect for Fall though, it’s a rose-tone!

6: Urban Decay Subversion Lash Primer

I am ALL about something that makes my lashes look extra long, and this primer works! To me, it’s better than the drugstore version. I apply then let it sit for a few minutes, but I don’t like it to dry completely before applying mascara!

7: Smashbox Always On Matte Liquid Lipstick (Bawse)

Refer to #5 for the inside scoop! This color is a great red lipstick because it doesn’t fade or smear much. It’s hard to find a red lipstick that doesn’t wind up all over your face by the end of the day, but this one doesn’t! *Insert praise hands*

8: L’Oreal Voluminous Lash Paradise Mascara

HOLY GRAIL ALERT. This mascara is the best I have ever used, and it’s $10! It’s like Better Than Sex without clumping. I was truly blown away!

9: Neutrogena SkinClearing Oil-Free Liquid Foundation

I had never tried the Neutrogena foundation before doing a campaign with them last month, and yall, I’m SO impressed. I was using Estee Lauder Doublewear (which is great), but it’s pretty thick and expensive. The Neutrogena kind isn’t as much coverage, but I personally like that better since I apply concealer and contour over it! Plus, it helps reduce acne/blemishes, so I am all for that!

10: Too Faced Hangover Replenishing Face Primer

I loved using my Anastasia primer, but I needed something for dry skin because mine is the worst! It feels like a moisturizer too, and that was a huge selling point for me. It works really well with my Neutrogena foundation too!

WHAT’S IN MY MAKEUP BAG

After I did my makeup tutorial (You can watch it on my Instagram highlights), I received several messages asking where to find the products I used! I haven’t done an updated makeup routine lately, so I thought it would be easiest to create a new post with everything in one place. I am going to list each product in the order I use it!

1: First, I apply Becca Backlight Primer all over my face and let it set into my skin, so my foundation will absorb better.

2: I use Tarte Concealer (light-medium honey) to cover any blemishes I have with a Beauty Blender.

3: I take Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation (Dawn) (I SWEAR by this) and apply with a beauty blender as well!

4: After I finish my foundation steps, I use Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz (Medium Brown) and fill in my eyebrows.

5: Next, I apply Clinique All About Eyes Concealer under my eyes to brighten them. I then use Laura Mercier Secret Brightening Powder to bake the concealer. I let it set while I do my eye makeup!

6: Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance Eye Shadow Palette is my absolute FAVE. The pigment is amazing!! I mainly stick with colors vermeer, warm taupe, and cyprus umber depending on the occasion. I use the Sephora Blending Eye Brush #29 for application! I also use Stila Glitter & Glow Liquid Eye Shadow in Smoldering Satin on my lid. **After I finish this step, I lightly dust off the excess brightening powder with the Sigma Large Power Brush F30**

7: Now it’s all about the contour! I use NYX Highlight and Contour Pro Palette to contour my cheeks. I apply with the Sigma Chisel and Trim Contour Brush! I also use Hoola Benefit Bronzer for my forehead and overall face.

8: I don’t always wear blush, but when I do, it’s the Bobbi Brown Blush in Tawny!

9: Afterwards, I highlight the top of my cheekbones using Laura Geller Gelato Swirl Illuminator (Gilded Honey) with the Sigma Duo Fibre F50 Brush!

10: I prefer liquid eyeliner, so I always buy Revlon Colorstay Liquid Liner (Blackest Black) to have a smooth finish!

11: I use two different mascaras, Cover Girl Supersizer Fibers for my bottom lashes! (the brush is skinny) I apply Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara on my top!

12: Before I set my makeup with Supergoop Setting Mist, I put on THE best lipstick combo. I have been using it for over a year now! YSL Lipstick (#10), Maybelline Lip Liner (125 Magnetic Mauve), and Estee Lauder Lipgloss (420 Reckless Bloom)

PS: I have never found a perfume I just love until I started wearing Tory Burch Jolie Fleur Bleue! My best friend introduced me to it, and I am OBSESSED! It has a strong scent (but not too fruity), so you don’t have to apply much!

Happy Wednesday 🙂

I have had several people ask me what beauty products I prefer, so I thought I’d do a roundup of my top 10 favorites! I love having a routine when it comes to my makeup, and I usually do the same steps every time. (Unless I’m running out the door with only foundation and mascara! lol) Over the years, I’ve gradually figured out what beauty products work best for me and what I absolutely couldn’t live without! 1.Anastasia Beverly Hills Renaissance Palette

I recently purchased this palette and it’s absolutely PERFECT. Definitely a 10/10 recommend! If you had to pick one beauty product to try, this is it! I was super worried the colors wouldn’t look right with my blonde hair, but it literally works with any hair color, skin tone, etc! The colors are beautiful with amazing pigments. I have used Naked palettes for years, and I will never go back after trying this!

2.Stila Magnificent Metals Glitter & Glow Liquid Eye Shadow

This is a fun trend that I totally jumped on the bandwagon for! I actually have the silver one, but it doesn’t match with my new palette, so this is the color I will be buying next. I definitely don’t wear it every day, but it’s perfect for a special occasion!

3.Urban Decay Original Eyeshadow Primer

Eyeshadow primer is definitely an extra step, but soooo worth it! This particular one works wonders on keeping eyeshadow in place and actually staying on all day.

4.Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Pur Couture Lip Color

Hands down my absolute favorite lipstick I have ever owned. It’s a bit of a splurge, but I swear by it! This is my everyday color paired with my Mac lipliner listed below. Btw: the formula is smooth and keeps my dry lips moisturized! (The color is 10 beige tribute)

5.Laura Mercier Secret Brightening Powder

This product works miracles if you “bake” your undereye makeup on! It seals the concealer so there aren’t as many creases and lines, and it gives a smooth finish. I don’t think I have ever read a negative review of Laura Mercier products because her line is simply amazing!

6.Estee Lauder Double Wear Liquid Makeup

I have tried so many foundations because it’s hard to find a balance between too thin and too thick. Throw my acne in the mix, and it makes getting the perfect coverage even more difficult. That is until I tried Double Wear! If you need a long-lasting and full coverage foundation, you must try this! It never looks “caked on”, but it also hides blemishes and acne scars!

7.Laura Geller Baked Gelato Swirl Illuminator

The chances that I overuse this illuminator are pretty high. lol! I love that the color is a pretty gold color, so it goes against my red skin tone. It also matches my Anastasia eyeshadow palette really well!

8.Original Beauty Blender

I don’t know why beauty blenders just became popular in recent years?! I use mine to put on my foundation and concealer and I could NEVER go back to a normal brush. Just don’t forget to wet it before you use it or it won’t work nearly as well! 🙂

9.MAC Lip Pencil

This is the lip pencil I use with my favorite lipstick! The color is a little bit darker, so it stands out. I recently started wearing lip liner, and I love the statement it makes! I swear my makeup looks totally different when I add this small step. (I wear “spice”)

10.Clinique All About Eyes Concealer

I always go back to this concealer, especially for under my eyes! It’s thick for full coverage and covers my blotchy skin great. Not to mention how it brightens your entire face up! I seriously only use the brightening powder over the concealer to seal it because it’s already fabulous!

Favorite Makeup Products

Finding beauty products that actually work can be SO challenging sometimes. You read reviews that you think are ~~reliable~~, but then ending up disappointing you. I have finally gotten my daily makeup routine exactly how I want it to look, and the products I use solely contribute to that! I am so excited to share a review on the makeup I cannot live without!

Foundation: Estee Lauder ‘Double Wear’ Stay-in-Place Liquid Makeup

I used Clinique foundation for YEARS, but really wanted to try something new! This foundation is amazing and lasts all day with or without setting spray. It is definitely thicker, which is why it works! I use my beauty blender (obsessed) to smooth it out for a picture perfect finish!

Beauty Blender: Swissco Precision Blending Sponge

So. If there is one “brush” I think you *MUST* have, it is a beauty blender. I don’t know how anyone successfully puts makeup on without this. Whoever invented the beauty blender, THANK YOU! I use it mainly with my foundation, concealer, and blend my contour, but you can find a million uses for it! (Well maybe not quite that many, but you get my point)

Primer: Smashbox ‘Photo Finish’ Foundation Primer

I never used primer before trying Smashbox, but it makes a world of difference! It reduces my fine lines and pores to help my foundation not crease and to last even longer. Plus it makes my skin super soft!

Eyeshadow: Urban Decay ‘Naked2’ Palette

Amazing. Perfect. What else can I say? I have tried many brands of eyeshadows, but always go back to the Naked2 palette! You can create so many eye shadow combinations depending on where you’re going, what you’re wearing, etc. My favorite colors in this palette are ‘Bootycall’, ‘Pistol’ (great blending color), and ‘Blackout’.

PS: I use ‘Snakebite’ to fill in my eyebrows.. SO quick and easy!

Powder: Laura Mercier Secret Brightening Powder

Laura Mercier makeup never fails. Simple as that! I love how this powder is very light so it never looks cake-y and I can bake my under eye concealer just right. I also like lightly dusting it over my foundation once I’m finished with it!

Under Eye Concealer: Clinique All About Eyes Concealer

What works for some, does not always work for everyone, BUT this under eye concealer has consistently done the trick for me! It’s the perfect amount of thickness without overdoing it. Pair it with the Laura Mercier Secret Brightening Powder to bake and your under eyes are guaranteed to look on point!

Makeup Setting Spray: Urban Decay ‘All Nighter’ Long-Lasting Spray

One of my favorite makeup tips is quirting setting spray on your beauty blender after you have applied your foundation. Then, gently dab the beauty blender around your face to create a lighter, more dewey look that will last through the summer heat! LOVE!

Bronzer: Clinique ‘True Bronze’ Pressed Powder Bronzer

I actually don’t use a contour kit, I use this great bronzer to lightly contour my cheekbones and around my forehead! It always looks natural, and it’s super quick to do, which is great because I am constantly on-the-go!

Highlighter: Urban Decay Afterglow 8-Hour Powder Highlighter

This highlighter has a pink tone, but it looks sooo pretty when the light hits it! I dab a little (or a lot) on the top of my cheekbones and in the middle of my forehead. I wanted to try a more golden tone illuminator, so I just purchased this and I will definitely be reviewing it soon!

Mascara Primer: L’Oreal Voluminous Lash Primer

Sometimes, the best makeup can really be found at your local drugstore! This lash primer thickens my lashes and lengthens them to absorb the mascara better! I usually let it sit a few minutes before I apply my mascara to make sure I am making my lashes as long and thick as possible!

Mascara: CoverGirl The Super Sizer Fibers Mascara

And further proof anyone can find great products for cheaper prices! So I heard the great reviews on Too Faced’s ‘Better Than Sex’ mascara and I was NOT impressed. Maybe it’s the way my eyelashes are made, but they clumped up my lashes and it was not pretty! I decided to try CoverGirl’s new mascara, and I fell in love. The bristles on the brush are very small, so they lengthen really well! Plus the brush on this mascara makes tackling the bottom lashes easy! And we all know the brush makes or breaks the mascara regardless of the price!

Eyeliner: Revlon ColorStay Liquid Eyeliner

I am SO SO picky about my eyeliner.. If anything has to be perfect, it is my eyeliner! This brand has made it easy to apply smooth lines and not cause smudges throughout the day!

Lipstick/Lipliner/Lipgloss (YAY): Yves Saint Laurent ‘Rouge Pur Couture’ Lipstick / MAC ‘Pro Longwear’ Lip Pencil / Estee Lauder ‘Pure Color Envy’ Gloss

YALL. This color combination is EVERYTHING. I have started wearing more of a neutral lip just because I like the natural look it has, so this set has been my go-to for months! Yes, the lipstick is definitely a splurge, but it is 100% worth it!

I am obsessed with these beauty products, and highly recommend trying them out! All the makeup is linked above. Have a great rest of the week!
